Christmas shopping

new cool pants :)

This year's first Christmas shopping I started with buying something... for me ;)

 I saw that Wr.Up Freddie's pants were very popular in Norway.I am one leg there and one leg here, in UK. Yes, still. After months after moving out from land of fiords ;)
Freddy's flagship shop in Covent Garden, London

Luckily, we do have flagship Freddie's shop in London, so I could check it myself what is this Wr.Up about.

I have to admit that I found booty-flattering and the most comfortable pants! Perfect for each fitness girl :)

If you need some gift inspiration for your partner, think about that awesome piece of clothes :)

3 Norwegian things I will miss

Since our moving is tomorrow, here is a time for some summing up.
Besides fiord&friends, which are obvious first point of my 'missing list', there are 3 other things I will miss from Norway (from fitness perspective, of course):

1) Fres - zero calories, energy drink with guarana with red bull taste (from TechNutrition)

2) Bauer's spelt lomper - soft tortillas from spelt flour and potatoes, perfect source of good carbs

3) MyRevolution's MyoProtein - great tasting protein powder, 50% whey 50% casein, a must to my morning oats

Diet savers

I've just got a pack from Gymgrossisten.no with Walden Farm's product:
* peanut butter spread
* chocolate syrup
* bluberry syrup
* creamy itialian salad dressing

This products are calories, carbs, fat free.
I have to be honest - these are artificial products which can't replace healthy, balance eating. BUT if you're on diet, counting and sparing your calories a little amount of these can make your life more tastier ;) My diet is 90% clean and this 10% lefgt is dedicated to products like these or Cola Zero ;)

I have already tried Whipped Peanut Spread since I am a big fan of peanut butter itself. It is not as tasty ans Powdered Peanut Butter (check my post about it here), but it is ok on a wasa sandwich ;)

For all peanut butter lovers

If you, same as me, struggling with unconditional love for peanut butter, this product is made for you - PB2. It is powdered, fat reduced, peanut butter.

If you add a little water, you will get calories reduced peanut butter pasta.
If you add a spoon to your protein shake, it will be thicken and with amazing peanut taste.
It is also perfect for pancakes (use it together with flour), cookies and other pastry baking.

I am totally in love with this products. OF course, it is not calorie free, but at least I can allow myself to eat that instead of normal peanut butter which is a total calorie bomb and I am never enough with only 1 spoon of it! ;)

You can order PB2 at MyRevolution's shop.

Did somebody says... cutting?

I have to say that my body responds very well for hevay weight training I am doing for 7 weeks now. I feel strong, I build some muscles. One thing I am missing is definition. That is why I, spontaneously, started cutting

today's lunch: chicken with a whole pack of broccoli with spoon of sesame oil

Why now? Maybe the timing is not the best, because soon I have my birthday, then mountain trip, so not the best time for dieting but... will there ever be perfect time for that? Well, no. So in order to postpone it to next Monday, next week or month I would rather start now and maybe do some cheat days but still be in cutting mode. No excuses!

today's grocery shopping

So I did my shopping today and first training on a new eating routine (I will wrote about it in a few days, first let me try if it is possible to folllow:) ). On the shopping list there was:
* oat bran
* broccoli
* squash
* cabbage
* oat milk
* carrots
* chopped carrots and cabbage
* rice cakes

Chicken and low fat cottage cheese I had already at home.

Recent to days were very exhausting for me - double shifts on both on Monday and Tuesday and 3 aerobic/spinn/resistance training classes.
pre-workout drink is a perfect resolutions for those who need a kick of energy before trainings (as I needed those recent busy days!) - now in a great offer 3 in price of 2!

That is why I didn't have a chance to take my weight training as I suppose to. I wanted to make double training today, but - in order to let my body recover more - I took only one.
Unexpectedly, the energy was very high and I did very effective chest, triceps and shoulders day at the gym!

Todays exercises:
* flat bench press with dumbbells
* incline nebch flies
* dumbbell side laterals
* barbell shoulders press
* triceps pushdown
* lying barbell for triceps
* hanging leg raises

New arrivals and Personal Trainer

How is your Monday?
Mine was quite energetic with 30 minutes of cardio and happy surprise :) I started this week a pack from MyRevolution!

Now, I am-restock with new Better Bodies shaped jacket and whey protein :)

Better Bodies jacket - front
Better Bodies jacket - back
 Jacket is fitting great and back logo is so fresh, perfect for spring! Beside that, zip is very practical.

And another thing which came today, and from which I am very happy is MyRevolution's Protein Pulver. There are whey supplements on the market, but with MyRevolution's products I know that I get the best quality!
This type of protein is whey one, which is quickly absorbed by the body - perfect for the recovery after sleep and training. MyRevolution's protein powder is mocca chocolate flavoured.

3kg of the best whey protein! :)

When and why do I use protein supplements?

*I use my proteins in the morning, to my oats - instead of dairy products who doesn't like chocolate flavoured oats? ;)
*I drink my second protein shake after heavy workouts on training days to help build muscles and enrich my daily food intake with good source of pure protein.
*I also use proteins for baking and to my protein coffee to have my daily foods/drink more nutrient value.
*Why 3 kilos? It  is more efficient to buy one big package than few smaller.

What to read more about protein powders?

Here you can read more about protein powders.
And here you can find my review of MyoProtein from MyRevolution.

A spoon of superfood

a jar with monthly dose of product

Today I've got a new product which I am thrilled to prove! :)
Flavon Max is a product which contains extracts from organic superfruits and vegetables:

  • ginseng
  • blackcurrant
  • black elderberry
  • red grape
  • beetroot
  • sea buckhorn
variety of Flavan products: Flavan Green, Max, Kids, Max+

It is a form of a jelly and one/two spoons are providing  big dose of antioxidants and vitamins.
It taste good and I hope it will works same good :)
It can support your healthy diet and provides you with essentials vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. It is important to take care of that, especially when you are dieting and consuming high protein foods.

The only thing which I don't like is amway-way channel of selling it, but I hope that product will speak of itself.

This product is actally about to buy at my workplace in Oslo, if somebody would be interested :)

And on days when my body really need detox (after unhealthy food, alcohol and so on), I am taking a shot of.. wheat grass ;)

Green Superfood with super properties :)

This product is in a form of powder full of cocentrated vitamins, minerals, antioxidants,  chlorophyll, green cereal grasses which all improve digestion and gives a boost of energy.

Beside that wheatgrass is a complete food that contains 98 of the 102 earth elements.
Ingredients concentration in this product is 20 times more than in regular fruit/vegetables!

Unlike Flavon Max, Green Superfood doesn't taste so good.. So if you are taste-sensitive, you migh considering choosing capsules version of this product :)

I am happily stuffed with those two valuable product :) Now I have to only waits for the first effects!

Something sweet - SweatLeaf stevia drops

My supplies have just been enhanced by Sweatleaf Stevia drops in new exciting tastes: cola, lemon, peppermint and hazelnut

stevia plant

Stevia is a natural sweetener with a characteristic strong, little bitter and sweet taste. It is 10-15 times sweeter that normal sugar.
Stevia can be use for baking, cooking, sweetening coffee/tea and so on. It has no calories and doesn't not influence blood level.
Stavia is selling in natural form (leafs), powdered and in a form of drops.

there are mny producers of stevia sweeteners, I have Sweet Leaf at home

Huge advantage of Stevia is that it is nor artificial product (comparing to aspartan and others) and that it can be processed in high temperatures, disadvantage might be that it taste differs a little from taste of sugar.

Flavoured variants of stevia are great way to sweetened your cottage cheese, bake delicious cake and break the routine.

Cola flavour - as producer suggest, adding few drops to sparkling water makes a refreshing drink. Taste is little bit more herbal than real cola for me.

Hazelnut flavour - my personal winner! Great for cottage cheese with other nuts.

Pepperminf flavour - the best for sweeteing tea and making refreshing cheese cake.

Lemon drop flavour - ideal for tea, drinks, water and quark. Brings spring :)

At home I have also English Toffee (yummy for cakes and baking in general) and chocolate (which I like the least).

Better late then never

Finally (after months from first publishing) I've got Kristine's Weber new book "Sunn og ster med protein. Mat for muskler" (ang. "Healthy and strong with proteins. Food for muscles").

I am double happy because it is my easter gift from my beloved!
one of Kristine's desserts: cheesecake

This book is not only a cook book, it is a history of Krisitne who has one many of Norwegian body fitness competitions. She writes about healthy diet attitude, training and taking all the best from gym training. It is a great summing up and addition for her blog kriweb.no

What makes my happy is the fact that nowadays this book is on the 4th place of best selling books in Norway. Kristine truly deserved it!

And I am so glad that healthy and protein rich recipes are sooo popular among Norwegians :)

Unfortunately this beautiful published book is only in Norwegian which makes it difficult to read for not Norwegian speaking readers. But.. you always can look and admire Kristine's kitchen ideas and her perfect femine body :)
